Hydrolyzed feather protein meal (90%)
Also known as keratin, this product is made from fresh poultry feathers, through the process of autoclave hydrolysis, heat drying, grinding, cooling and packing. Hydrolyzing / pre-digesting of the feathers prior to drying, breaks down the protein bonds in the raw material and makes this meal highly digestible.
Hydrolyzed feather meal is an excellent source of natural protein for carp and most animal diets. It can be used to replace significant portions of other protein sources in aquaculture diets. Significant savings can be realized by the substitution of higher costs fish meal formulations by hydrolyzed feather meal.
Hydrolyzed feather meal is a valuable source of proteins. It is high in water soluble amino acids such as arginine, proline, glycine and aspartic acid. In high protein and energy diets for carp the high protein content of hydrolyzed feather meal enables a more easy formulation. It is a high quality protein source which is a perfect alternative for fish meal in diets for different fish species: carp, catfish, trout, salmon, seabream, Japanese flounder and tilapia.
